Here are the details about the change of venue…IT’S REALLY QUITE AMAZING:
Of Restoration Project's 6 core values, two of them are "grassroots" and "no rubber chicken." Let us explain:
GRASSROOTS: We believe the deepest and most impactful work Restoration Project can do is not from the stage at a big event or in a big splashy resource or with slick marketing, but instead in the down-to-earth places were real transformation occurs. We want to catalyze restoration and ignite a grassroots movement of men who take what they've experienced and learned from RP back to their homes, families, and communities.
NO RUBBER CHICKEN: It sounds weird for a "core value," doesn't it? Well, we are committed to experiences that exceed expectations. You'll never get a "hotel-dining-room-overcooked-rubber-chicken-dinner from us. We could put on a typical banquet style fundraiser event. But we are not going to. Instead, we want to break the mold of the typical fundraiser mindset and instead host a backyard-bbq-with-friends-who-love-and-give-to-RP and want to have fun kind of experience right where the most important RP action is happening...in places like this. The Dorman Garage.
We quickly pivoted from our typical-event-venue space when we heard about Matt and Alissa Dorman's oversized garage as a place where:
Men are already meeting regularly and transforming their lives together in the context of brotherhood. Frequently men gather in this garage to share the journey of what it means to become the men God created them to be.
A group of dads gathers here who are committed to transforming their family legacies as they father their children, changing the family tree for generations to come.
A community, a neighborhood, and a city gathers here and is being impacted by the transformed lives of the Dorman family and all those journeying with the Dormans.
As a result, we are changing our location for the 2023 Restoration Legacy event from Northern Colorado to the Dorman Garage in Broomfield. Let’s go where the actual action is actually happening.
Isn't that amazing?!
So join us for a casual backyard BBQ and beer celebration of legacies actually being changed right before our eyes.
